‘A Proposition’ was designed in collaboration with artist Lim Tzay Chuen as part of his conceptual piece at the 2004 Sydney Biennale.
For his artwork, Lim set up a competition which he encouraged other artists to join so as to win an opportunity to showcase their work in his exhibition space.
H55’s book design consists of repeated pages of instructions, terms and conditions for joining Lim’s competition, while embracing the mundane archetypal aesthetics of standard forms and circulars.
