H55 was chosen by the Land Transport Authority to design the logo for the Downtown Line Art-In-Transit Programme, Singapore’s biggest public art initiative which commissions artworks for every upcoming SMRT Downtown Line train station.
The ‘downtown’ portion of the new Downtown Line route map was appropriated and used as part of the logo design, as its shape visually suggests the typographic combination of the letters ‘d’ and ‘t’.
