ARC Studio Architecture+Urbanism
2002
H55 was commissioned to conceptualise ARC Studio’s identity after they won the international competition to design ‘The Pinnacle@Duxton’, an iconic residential project in Singapore’s public housing history which consists of seven blocks of apartments linked by two unique skybridges.
The acronym ‘ARC’, which stands for Architecture Research Collective, was the point of departure for the identity design as it highlighted ARC Studio’s strength as a research and team orientated architectural practice. The letters ‘r’ and ‘c’ in the logo are arranged playfully to form the letter ‘a’, representing ‘architecture’ in general. The cyan-ish pantone colour is retained from their previous identity as a memento of their past history.
