Initiated by H55’s Creative Director, Hanson Ho, and produced in collaboration with researcher-writer Justin Zhuang, INDEPENDENCE is the first book documenting the history of graphic design in Singapore since the 1960s.
The cover features a black flag, which is synonymous with both the idea of ‘a declaration of independence’ as well as ‘a rebellion / revolution’. The inside of the book is designed to adapt to last minute insertions, while the occasional tip-in pages in various paper stocks feature the interviews.
